Florence County Disabilities Foundation was established to provide funding for the Florence County Disabilities and Special Needs Board. The Foundation Seeks funding from various sources such as corporate donations, fund-raising activities and grants. the Foundation Board promotes making a difference in people’s lives by sponsoring opportunities such as summer camps, talent contests, holiday meals, uniforms for special olympic athletes and other activities and programs. Contributions are essential to the Foundation as it continues to improve the quality of life for individuals with disabilities. Additionally, the Foundation has the authority to hold, invest, manage or arrange for investment any funds or use of property to benefit the Board. In-kind contributions allow us to meet the needs of people being supported by the Board.
The Foundation operates self-supporting businesses that provide employment and training for individuals with disabilities. Community donations assist with maintaining an adequate inventory for their operation.
The Foundation strives to obtain funds that benefit the delivery of services for people with disabilities. The community serves as a vital part of the direction toward making numerous opportunities a reality.

- Living memorials that provide a lasting tribute
- Campaign pledges of one, three or five years
- Honorariums to recognize family and friends
- Volunteers to assist with projects
- “Angel Tree” gifts to assist needy individuals at Christmas
