MISSION STATEMENT:

 
 

   The Florence County Disabilities Foundation was established to provide funding for the Florence County Disabilities and Special Needs Board. The Foundation seeks funding from various sources such as corporate donations, fund-raising activities and grants. The Foundation Board promotes "making a difference in people's lives" by sponsoring opportunities such a summer camps, talent contests, holiday meals, uniforms for special Olympic athletes and other activities and programs. These accomplishments support the Board's vision to provide the highest quality array of services to meet the needs of everyone being served.

    Contributions are essential to the foundation as it continues to improve the quality of life for individuals with disabilities. Additionally, the Foundation has the authority to hold, invest, manage or arrange for investment any funds or use of property to benefit the Board. In-kind contributions allow us to meet the needs of people being supported by the Board.

    The Foundation operates self-supporting businesses that provide employment and training for individuals with disabilities. Community donations assist with maintaining and adequate inventory for their operation.
